I graduated from the University of Rochester with a B.S in Biochemistry. During my last year, I joined Professor Joshua Munger’s lab studying hCMV. My projects involved attempting to determine the structure of two tegument proteins, and I also performed cellular assays to study hCMV infection. This research, guided in addition by Professor Jermaine Jenkins, motivated me to pursue structural biology and host pathogen interactions in my graduate studies.

After my undergraduate degree, I did a Master’s in Biomedicine at the University of Barcelona focused on cancer research. My Thesis Project was under the supervision of Professor Marçal Pastor-Anglada and Professor Sandra Pérez-Torras, investigating the interactome of Nucleoside Transporters using NanoBRET.
