Emily is a Part II student studying Biochemistry at St Peter’s College Oxford and joined the Higgins lab in 2024 to work on structure-guided vaccine design.
Emily has previously carried out an 8-week research project conducting genetic modification of cyanobacteria for the production of bioalkanes at CyanoCapture, and a summer internship at Inventprise centred around their 25-valent pneumococcal candidate vaccine. Most recently she has been working on de novo enzyme design using generative diffusion models.
