Fu-Lien Hsieh

Fu-Lien Hsieh joined us in 2013 for her D. Phil., funded by the Taiwanese government. She completed two important studies, investigating the structural basis for CD36 binding by PfEMP1 proteins and determining the structure of an unusual antibody which incorporates the LAIR1 protein as a means of recognition of RIFIN proteins on malaria infected erythrocytes.

Fu is now a postdoctoral research fellow, working with Professor Jeremy Nathans in Johns Hopkins University.
