Matt elected Gresham Professor of Physic

Matt is delighted to have been elected as the 40^th Professor of Physic at Gresham College.

The Gresham Professorship of Physic was founded in 1597, along with 8 other Professorships, to provide ‘new learning’ in medicine to the people of London. The Professors continue with this mission, giving free public lectures for an audience in London and on-line.

Matt’s first series of lectures will be on Marvellous Medicines and how they changed humanity, highlight amazing medicines which have changed human health, from antibiotics and painkillers through to weight-loss treatments.

Matt commented “I am very excited to have the chance to engage with the wonderful Gresham audiences and to tell some amazing stories about how modern medicine makes all of our lives so immeasurably better”.
