Sam gives talk at wonderful BioMalPar 2026

Sam Chamberlain gave a talk at a wonderful BioMalPar 2026 meeting in Heidelberg, in which he presented the latest discoveries of our RIFIN network (especially in this case Marcus Widdess, Michael Dustin and Shiroh Iwanaga). He showed how the immune receptor LILRB1 can adopt two different conformations, which both signal into immune cells, and how RIFINs can manipulate the function of both to aid parasite survival!
