Talk prize for Sam at UK Natural Killer cell meeting

 

Sam was awarded the best talk prize at the UK Natural Killer Cell meeting for his talk “RIFINs displayed on malaria-infected erythrocytes bind both KIR2DL1 and KIR2DS1”.

He described our collaborative project, with friends at the University of Osaka and the Kennedy Institute in Oxford, which shows how the malaria parasite can suppress NK cell function through modulation of these receptors and how humans can fight back.
